Parisota Hot Club was formed in 2001 with the intention of playing the music of French guitarist Django Reinhardt. This type of music is also known as Hot Club style or Gypsy Jazz.
It was the first group of this type to appear in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, now a vibrantly active area for Hot Club music in the upper midwest.
As of 2009 Parisota Hot Club continues to perform this style of music at night clubs, restaurants, concert venues, weddings and corporate events.
PHC has also made several Television and Radio appearances and has two CDs available as well, “Swing in Djune” from 2002 and “Vous et Moi” from 2006.
Group size varies from trio ( Guitar/ Bass/ Violin) to larger ensembles. Seven pieces (2 guitars, 2 violins, bass, accordion and clarinet) being the largest to date
